Progate Announces New Update for its Programming Learning App

Progate, Japan’s biggest online platform for students to learn modern programming skills, announced that they are expanding the contentavailable on their mobile app.

13 new lessons ranging from intermediate to advanced levels have been added to HTML, Python, Ruby, Java, and JavaScript courses in the app. The updated content will be available to all users as part of a paid subscription service.  The new version of the Progate app is available on the App Store and Google Play Store. The existing app users can also access all the content with the same account on Progate web.

Ranked number one in app downloads across iOS and Android by App Annie and with close to 358 million mobile internet users, India offers immense opportunity for companies like Progate which aim to reach the mobile-first generation of the country.  With over 400,000 users worldwide, Progate identifies India as one of the key markets in the region and is the first country outside of Japan to have a dedicated workforce for Progate.

Progate web was released in English in October 2017 followed by the mobile app in May 2018.
