Telegram Unveils New Features
Instant messaging app Telegram with over 800 million monthly active users has announced a series of exciting and innovative features in its latest update, which will enhance the overall user experience. Innovative additions in the features such as Replies 2.0, Adjustable Link Previews, Name Colors and More.
Reply Revolution
Telegram, a pioneer in enhancing chat interactions, continues to set the industry standard. The latest update introduces “Replies 2.0,” allowing users to quote specific parts of messages for precision in their responses. A simple tap and drag gesture makes quoting messages effortless and visually engaging, focusing on the exact location in the original message with a beautiful animation.
What’s more, users can now send replies to different chats, offering greater flexibility for private conversations or transferring discussions to other groups or channels. This feature facilitates seamless multi-chat communication, further enhancing the Telegram experience. To reply in a different chat, users need to tap the reply bar above the input field, and select ‘Reply in Another Chat’, then choose where they would like to send it.
Quote Formatting
In addition to quoting others directly, users can now add quote formatting to any text, including multiple quotes in a single response. Telegram has improved the context menu to make formatting options more accessible, making it easier than ever to craft responses with flair and clarity.
Adjustable Link Previews
The new update gives users unprecedented control. They can now change the size of media, choose the preview’s location above or below the message, and even select which link to preview when multiple links are present. Opening links have also been made easier, allowing users to tap anywhere in the preview area.

Telegram Premium subscribers can now personalize their accounts like never before. Users can choose a color or color combination that will change the color of their name in groups, any links they send, and replies to their messages. Additionally, they can choose an icon that acts as a pattern, creating a unique background behind their messages when others quote or reply to them. To set an account color on Android, go to Settings > Chat Settings > Change Name Color. On iOS, go to Settings > Appearance > Your Name Color. These settings are also available for channels boosted to Level 5 or higher.
Story Improvements
In the realm of Telegram Stories, users can now fast-forward and rewind videos with ease. Simply hold down on the screen and slide right or left to control video playback.
